This year, 139 high school graduates are finishing their school careers at the Korbinian-Aigner-Gymnasium Erding. The top five students of the year have big goals.

Erding – Twice the dream grade of 1.0, three times 1.1 – the best high school graduates of the Korbinian-Aigner-Gymnasium (KAG) in Erding shone with these outstanding achievements. Lukas Nißl (18) and Jakob Altmann (18) finished school with a perfect grade of 1.0. Mariana Rademacher (18), Carolin Kliem (17) and Niklas Hilpert (18) also graduated from high school with excellent performances.

A total of 139 students took the Abitur exams. 33 convinced with a one before the decimal point, 16 even with a grade point average better than 1.5. KAG director Andrea Hafner recalled the long months in lockdown that all high school graduates had to endure: "After that, they studied, ate and played together. They were looking for proximity."

The whole class was very relaxed, and the high school graduates also approached the written exams with "serenity". Now Hafner wishes only one thing for them: "They should first be able to celebrate really hard and then tackle the goals they have set for themselves." It is important to her that the students also react flexibly to new challenges.

Three of the best aspire to study medicine. One of them is Lukas Nißl, whose clear goal was a grade of 1.0. The Moosinninger remembers a "strenuous, intense and also beautiful time" in high school, in which he "did not overwork" himself by constantly learning. In 2024, he will complete a voluntary social year (FSJ) at a Munich clinic before he wants to start his studies – preferably in Regensburg.

Jakob Altmann from Eittingen has his sights set on studying film music in Munich. Before that, however, he completes an internship. "I want to find out if that's the right thing to do." But he didn't expect his dream grade of 1.0. "I rather thought, 'I'm getting worse,'" said the piano and violin player, who also graduated from high school in music (Additum).

Niklas Hilpert has a clear plan for the future. "I already have a dual study place at Rohde & Schwarz in Munich," says the 18-year-old happily. There, in addition to studying computer science at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, he is training as an IT specialist.

The Eichenrieder did not find the written Abitur exams so bad in terms of learning effort. "But the oral ones were a lot more effort." Hilpert therefore did not expect such a good result.

Two girls complete the quintet of the best KAG high school graduates: both from Wartenberg, both with a grade of 1.1 and both with the aim of studying medicine. Carolin Kliem and Mariana Rademacher will also take part in the additional oral examination. Because both are only one point short of the dream grade of 1.0. That's why they want to learn together. "It would be a shame if you didn't take advantage of the opportunities," said Kliem.

After graduating from high school, the 17-year-old should be able to go straight to university. If it doesn't work out with the study place, an FSJ or nursing internship is also in the room.

Rademacher begins a federal voluntary service in the rescue service before applying for university. "I'd like to stay nearby, that's why Munich is the destination." But Regensburg is also an option for them.

All high school graduates at the KAG will receive their certificates on June 30. The celebration will take place in two groups in the school auditorium.
