An 87-year-old man was indicted and placed under judicial control Saturday, suspected of killing by electrocution his wife with Alzheimer's disease, in Verrières-le-Buisson (Essonne), said the prosecutor's office of Evry to AFP. The octogenarian is suspected of marital murder, said the prosecutor's office.
The rescue had intervened Thursday morning in a pavilion of Verrières-le-Buisson, a town located about ten kilometers south of Paris.
Uncommitted prognosis
According to the first elements of the investigation, the husband, born in 1936 like his wife, would have wound the latter with electric cables before electrocuting her.
He would then have tried to end his life, in vain, learned AFP, police source confirmed by the prosecutor.

The man was hospitalized with an uncommitted prognosis. He was then taken into custody on Thursday. In front of the police, he admitted the facts and indicated that his wife wished to die.
