Rock in the Park will probably take place in front of fewer visitors. More expensive ticket prices and discount campaigns are causing displeasure among long-term fans of the festival.
Nuremberg – Rock im Park is a highlight for many festival-goers every year. At the moment, however, it looks as if the festival in Nuremberg will have to take place in front of fewer visitors than in recent years. One reason for this is the increased ticket prices, which upset many fans of the festival.

Discount campaign causes excitement: Around 20,000 fewer visitors at Rock im Park
An internal document obtained by the editors of Nordbayern.de shows that significantly fewer visitors are expected this year. The organizers expect around 20,000 fewer visitors at Rock im Park. In 2022, 75,000 people had visited the festival.
A ticket for the three days of the festival costs 298 euros, compared to 279 euros last year and 170 euros ten years ago. For many fans, this has reached a price that they are probably no longer willing to pay, at least that's how many users on social media put it.
However, a big topic of excitement was a discount campaign that backfired. In this case, tickets were reduced by 30 percent. A slap in the face for the particularly loyal fans who had bought their tickets at the early bird price – when the final line-up of the festival had not yet been determined. However, the cost of the early bird ticket was higher than that of the now reduced tickets. For many buyers of early bird tickets, this is a real nuisance. (ada)
