Documentation of a traffic accident with several casualties near the Maxim Restaurant intersection2023 (according to section 27A of the Copyright Law)
Two people were killed Saturday in a car accident on Highway 90 near the Beit HaArava intersection. An MDA team called to the scene gave the two, in their 30s and 60s, initial medical treatment and performed CPR on them, and they were evacuated to hospital in critical condition, but in the end the doctors had no choice but to pronounce them dead. Three others sustained minor injuries and were evacuated to Hadassah, Mount Scopus and Shaare Zedek hospitals.
MDA emergency medic Meir Pollak, who was called to the scene, said he saw the drivers lying on the road, breathless and without a pulse. "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a very serious car accident between three vehicles," he said. "We immediately performed CPR, put them in an intensive care unit and evacuated them to hospitals while performing CPR while they were in critical condition. Three other passengers sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for further treatment."
