Dramatic scenes Friday evening in Vaterstetten: Loud screams. A man drags a woman into the car and shoots around.
Vaterstetten - On 26.05.2023 at around 21:45 p.m., a resident told the police in Poing that she had heard a woman's screams. The woman looked and could see a woman being dragged into a vehicle by a male person. Then she heard two loud bangs and could see the man driving away with the car. The witness acted in the right way, praises the police Poing in their report, she immediately informed the police, to whom she was also able to give the license plate number of the vehicle.
Due to the good information of the woman, the vehicle could be found by a patrol of the police Poing quickly standing in the vicinity with the engine running. There was a man in the driver's seat and a woman in the passenger seat. Based on the personal description of the resident, both could be identified beyond doubt as the man and woman who were involved in the previous incident, police said. Both claimed to have had an argument before.
After the fact, the man speaks of a "stupidity"
However, the relationship problems should not remain the biggest worries for the 49-year-old Vaterstettener. As soon as they approached the vehicle, the police officers were able to detect a clear smell of alcohol. A breath alcohol test carried out showed a value well above 1.1 per thousand. In addition, a blank revolver on the back seat and a PTB weapon with associated ammunition in the glove compartment were found in the vehicle. The 49-year-old admitted to the officers that he had shot with the guns while drunk and had driven the vehicle. In the aftermath, he described his actions as "stupidity".
Now it is being checked whether the man is allowed to keep the weapons
Based on the findings of the officers, the man had to undergo a blood test. In addition, the weapons were seized. Research revealed that the gentleman actually had the necessary permission to carry the two weapons. However, the man's behavior raises the question of the extent to which he is still suitable for handling weapons, which is why the facts of the case are forwarded to the responsible district office for examination, according to the police.
Regardless of the decision of the district office, the Vaterstettener now expects a criminal complaint for drunk driving and an administrative offence procedure for the unauthorized firing of shots.
