Bichl - A false report has triggered a large-scale operation in Bichl. The rescue coordination center had received an app alarm about a guest exit.
The false report triggered the large-scale operation in Bichl on Wednesday (24 May) at around 21.50 p.m. with about 70 emergency personnel. According to the police, the integrated control center in Weilheim received the message via the official NORA app of the federal states, which transmits a telephone number and the place of use, that there was a gas leak in an apartment building in Bichl. The alleged informant, a 48-year-old from Bichl, was "visibly frightened when the forces brought him in connection with the report," according to the Tölz police inspectorate. However, the man was able to quickly prove that he had been dealing with identity theft for some time and had not made this emergency call. The transmitted telephone number to the control center could be assigned to a prepaid card. Investigations into the subscriber in this regard are ongoing.
