After resigning from the government, MK Avi Maoz will return today (Sunday) to serve as deputy minister in the Ministry of Education. Despite the return of Chairman Noam, the Ministry of Education clarifies that there is no change in the ministry's policy and enrichment programs.

Maoz will be reappointed deputy minister after receiving the budgets he demanded for the National Jewish Identity Authority. The new authority's budget will be NIS 120 million this year.

Some of the hundreds of millions of shekels Maoz will receive will be allocated for assistance and support to educational institutions in the field of Jewish national identity, in coordination with Education Minister Yoav Kisch and with his consent. Another area that will be budgeted is "publicity to the general public on the deepening and strengthening of Jewish national identity."

Former Minister of Education and President of Beit Berl College, Prof. Yuli Tamir: "Chairman Noam's return to the position of supervisor of educational content in the state education system exposes Israeli children to extremist, racist, homophobic, and anti-democratic brainwashing. Every parent should wake up in the morning worried and examine what their children are learning in school. A significant part of the struggle against ideological dictatorship and the radicalization of Israeli society."
