In a press release, the Raiffeisenbank in the Oberland calls on all sports clubs in its business area to apply for "Stars of Sports", a regional sports promotion program. "For us, it's about associations that make a contribution to the people in our region with their social commitment." In particular, Raiffeisenbank is calling on those sports communities to participate from which they have not yet received an application in recent years. "There's no such thing as too small," Kleinjung clarifies. New initiatives, creative ideas or voluntary commitment by individuals are also eligible for the competition.

Sports clubs in the district can apply for the prize until 30 June. According to the press release, ideas on the topics of education and qualification, the promotion of volunteering and a sense of community, health and prevention, inclusion and integration, climate protection as well as the joy of exercise and motivation are considered.

An independent jury will select a winning club from all entries. He can then look forward to the "Great Star of Sports" in bronze, 1000 euros and a qualification for the state final. In the latter competition, the winner has the chance to win the "Stars of Sports" award in silver. All other participants also benefit.
