Florent Pagny's surprise
"For a surprise, it's a surprise!" exclaimed Nikos. The semi-final opened with a collegiate match of Florent Pagny's title, Chanter. At the time of the chorus, the wall at the back of the stage rose to reveal the original performer and former coach of "The Voice". A surprise that stunned and deeply moved the talents but especially the coaches. "The boss is coming home," the presenter said by way of introduction before joining him on stage. Florent Pagny, who revealed to be suffering from cancer in January 2022, greeted the assembly that cheered him and took the opportunity to give his news. "I see you're all fit and so am I," the singer smiled.
The one who still officiated in the red armchairs the previous season confided that it was "very pleasant for him to share all these moments and to be able to afford the pleasure of making an opening" like this one. Florent Pagny then returned later in the evening to perform Encore alongside Kendji Girac. A technical song composed by Vianney that marks the return of the artist on the front of the stage. "I will resume my tour but I will have to train a lot," he said, detailing that "he still lacked oxygen". "I will resume my normal life," he concluded to applause.
The return of former candidates
For the performance of Hanna, semi-finalist in the team of Bigflo and Oli, former participants of this season made an appearance. A staging akin to a chess game where his comrades Prichia and Max Novik came in Zazie's team, Lummen Nae and Thomas Larose in Vianney's team and Nochka in Bigflo and Oli's team. A joyful moment that encouraged Hanna and pleased the coaches.
Bigflo and Oli, big losers of this semi-final
At the end of the evening, the names of the four finalists were announced. Unlike previous seasons, votes were not by team. A coach could have no talent in the final. Which it did.
Amel Bent saw his two talents Arselane and Micha qualify. Jérémy Levif in the Vianney team also won his ticket for the final stage. Yet advantaged with 3 semi-finalists, Bigflo and Oli will have no talent to represent their team in the final. A disappointment for the coaches who discovered the results by videoconference from Rennes where they gave a concert in the evening. A 100% male final that will be broadcast on Saturday, June 3.
