At its weekly meeting on Sunday, the government is expected to approve a proposal to allocate NIS 42 million for Torah nuclei – an additional addition to the budgets allocated for the Torah nuclei in the coalition funds in the state budget for 2023-2024 approved last week. At the same time, the government will approve a budget of NIS 282 million for the establishment of the Jewish Identity Authority, which was promised in the coalition agreements to the Noam Party and Avi Maoz. The decision will pave the way for Maoz's reappointment as deputy government minister, three months after he resigned in protest at the delay in implementing the coalition agreements.

According to Education Minister Yoav Kish's proposal, an additional NIS 43 million will be allocated over the next two years to the Torah nuclei working to convert and "bring people closer to Judaism" in secular and mixed cities. The budget will come from a cut in the budget of the Education Ministry and other ministries of Likud ministers in the government, in addition to the NIS 70 million transferred to "Religious Zionism" for the benefit of the Torah nuclei in coalition funds. This is part of an attempt by the Likud to increase its political power among the Torah nuclei.
The proposal budgets the addition to the Torah nuclei from a cut in the budgets of Likud ministers in the government, headed by the Ministry of Education, which will allocate NIS 10 million, the Ministries of Tourism, Justice, Environmental Protection, Regional Cooperation, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will allocate NIS 4 million each. The Ministry of Culture and Sport and the Ministry of Intelligence will allocate NIS 2 million each and the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure NIS 7 million. An additional NIS <> million will be allocated from coalition funds of Coalition Chairman Ofir Katz and MK Hanoch Milivetsky of the Likud.
