The government convened today (Sunday) for its weekly meeting, and the ministers are expected to vote on a proposal promoted by Otzma Yehudit to implement the Nation-State Law in government ministries, according to which "Zionism is a guiding value."
Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said earlier today: "We are proposing a decision that Zionism will be a guiding value. Our law is in favor of IDF soldiers I hear that there are voices who want to oppose this, whoever opposes it actually turns himself into an opponent of Zionism. I hope we don't hear such voices." Yitzhak Wasserlauf criticized the attorney general's late announcement against his decision to promote the value of Zionism, saying, "It's puzzling and strange."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on approving the budget: "This is an important step in the struggle against the cost of living and economic stability. We will establish a ministerial committee to combat the cost of living, and I will head this committee. I will ask the committee for a work plan with a clear timetable for breaking monopolies. This is a top priority for our government and I am convinced that we will succeed in curbing the cost of living and helping all citizens of Israel."

Education Minister Yoav Kisch addressed the claims against the reappointment of MK Avi Maoz as deputy minister: "To all the residents of Israel who woke up this morning to fake news, there is one education minister and one education ministry, and with all due respect to the deputy minister who promotes transparency, the decisions on the programs in the Ministry of Education are solely those of the Ministry of Education."
