The Chief of Cabinet, Agustín Rossi, did not spare irony this Sunday to explain why he was not seen on the stage of the act in Plaza de Mayo that had Cristina Kirchner as the only speaker: he attributed his absence to the fact that his invitation was perhaps lost along the way.
"I was downstairs. I wasn't on stage because I wasn't invited. It's that simple. The reality is that in one of those (the invitation) it was misplaced, but the truth is that I was not invited. It doesn't hurt either, far from it. I took advantage and enjoyed the square," Rossi said during an interview on Radio 10.
Despite not having participated from the stage mounted with his back to the Casa Rosada – in which his Cabinet colleagues Sergio Massa and Eduardo "Wado" de Pedro were among others – the former senator was satisfied with the day lived on Thursday in Plaza de Mayo.
"I arrived at 2 p.m. and left when Cristina's speech ended. I chatted with colleagues. It was a beautiful act, a wonderful act. There was a lot of affection in the Plaza, a lot of hugging. I felt that there was joy, contained joy, I think we owed ourselves an act like that."
Rossi took advantage of another note on the FutuRock radio station to confirm that on Monday he will formally launch his presidential candidacy for the Frente de Todos.
"Tomorrow [Monday] I make the formal announcement, I will be a pre-candidate for president. It is a confirmation of what he had been saying for some time," said the Santa Fe, who is not one of the leaders closest to the vice president since she made him resign from his previous position as defense minister when he wanted to be a candidate in his province, an internal that he finally lost in the 2021 elections.
