The dancer and "Dancing with the Stars" judge posted a series of stories on her online account in which she spoke candidly about the results of her recent tests that revealed she suffers from a health problem

Anna Aronov opened her heart to her 408,<> Instagram followers on Monday and spoke in detail about the medical problem she is currently dealing with. Aronov noted that she must now undergo prolonged drug treatment, the effect and results of which will become clear only later. She then told netizens (some of whom noticed and warned about the change in her face) about the relief she felt after revealing her illness.

"Hey there, this is going to be a very personal story," Anna warned. "Many of you have noticed and written to me quite a bit that there is a difference between my two eyes and my right eye is more closed, and something has changed in my eyes and you are right. I didn't react to it because I didn't know what it was. I've been doing all sorts of tests for a long time. After a journey of tests, today I was seen by a lovely doctor who told me I had a thyroid problem," she said. "Not something extreme, but it turns out that if you have hyperthyroidism, it can affect the eyes. These are side effects of abnormal thyroid function, and that's what happened to me," she added.

Anna went on to update her on the treatment she was going to undergo. "I'm going into medication. This is not a short treatment. It is a treatment of several months. My dosages are currently very low. We're going to have to see over the next few weeks to see if there's any improvement, to continue doing blood tests."

Towards the end of her remarks, she expressed relief following her decision to expose the medical problem for all to see. "It was important for me to put this on the table because you also keep asking and rightly so, and I'm going to be performing in prime time now and you might recognize it. It seems appropriate to voice that this is a health problem and I have nothing to do about it at the moment except to treat it in a conventional way. That's it, I said it. It's really fun to let go," she signed off with a smile.
