IED explosion in Jenin (Walla system)
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported Monday night that two young Palestinians were moderately and lightly wounded in an exchange of fire with IDF forces in the village of al-Mughayir, near Ramallah. At the same time, the Palestinian media reported that clashes broke out between IDF forces and armed Palestinians in several other locations throughout Judea and Samaria, including the cities of Jenin and Nablus.
The Palestinians also reported that the militants threw stones and IEDs at the vehicles in which the forces entered the cities. It has not yet been clarified why the forces entered, and how many Palestinians were arrested, if any.
Last night, shots were fired at the community of Gan Ner in Gilboa from the Jenin area, when one of the bullets penetrated a house in the community and was located by one of the residents. No injuries were reported in the incident. IDF forces were called to the scene and began searching the area for suspected shooters. In addition, the town's alert team, the CSC and the Israel Police were dispatched to the scene.
The incident took place around noon. During the searches, nothing unusual was found, and at 15:20 P.M., the IDF reported a return to normal. "In the assessment of the security forces, the sounds of shooting came from the nearby Palestinian Authority," residents were told. "We emphasize that there are no special instructions for residents of Gan Ner or other communities near the fence in Gilboa. We will add and update as needed."
