A 31-year-old woman was seriously injured Monday evening after her vehicle overturned in an open area near Ma'ale Adumim. In addition, three children, aged 6 and 8, sustained minor injuries in the accident. MDA medics and paramedics, together with an IDF medical force, provided medical treatment and evacuated the wounded by helicopter to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
MDA paramedic Eldad Benstein said: "We saw an overturned vehicle under which a 31-year-old woman was trapped, she was in serious condition and suffered a multi-system injury, we gave her life-saving medical treatment while rescuing her and evacuated her to hospital with helicopter assistance while she was anesthetized and on a ventilator."
United Hatzalah medics Eilon Lubinar and Shlomo Ladkani said: "When we arrived at the scene, we encountered an SUV that overturned on a lady who suffered multiple systemic injuries and was unconscious. According to her family, they stopped to take pictures when the vehicle was on an incline and during filming the vehicle fell on the woman. With the help of IDF medical teams, we gave her first aid at the scene and then she was evacuated by Unit 669 helicopter to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, where her condition at this stage is defined as serious. Her husband and two children, ages 8 and 6, were treated at the scene in minor condition."
