Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Isaac Herzog spoke by phone with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday and congratulated him on his election victory.
Netanyahu and Erdogan agreed to continue strengthening relations between the two countries and bringing them to new heights. The Turkish president reiterated his thanks for Israel's assistance in search and rescue following the recent earthquake that struck Turkey.

Prime Minister Netanyahu told the Turkish president that he is committed to expanding Israel's circle of peace and strengthening relations between Israel and Turkey.
Herzog, in his conversation with the Turkish president, also stressed the importance of continuing to work together to maintain stability, promote regional peace and deepen fruitful cooperation between the countries, and even expressed their hope that they would meet soon.
