According to the police, the car driver, a 25-year-old woman from the district, was traveling in the direction of Lenggries at around 20:10 p.m. Shortly before leaving the village, the young woman got too far to the right on the road and touched the cyclist who was traveling in the same direction.
As a result of the collision, the 55-year-old was first thrown onto the windshield of the car and then onto the road. The cyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. She had to be flown by rescue helicopter to the Murnau Hospital.

In the case of the person who caused the accident, the police found the smell of alcohol. A voluntary breath alcohol test showed a value of over 0.5 per thousand. Due to the severity of the injuries and the circumstances of the accident, an expert was called to the scene of the accident after consultation with the responsible local public prosecutor's office.
The driver's license of the 25-year-old was secured. The Bad Tölz fire brigade closed the scene of the accident and illuminated it to record the accident.
