There are many indications of a violent crime: The Regensburg police are investigating the discovery of a body at full speed – and continue to hope for witnesses.
Mintraching - Already on Saturday evening, May 27, the body of a 73-year-old was found in Mintraching, Regensburg district. The Regensburg Criminal Investigation Department immediately took over further investigations. It quickly became clear that after an initial autopsy, there were increasing indications that it could possibly be a violent crime. The body was found in the main street - since then, the police have been hoping for witnesses who can give clues to the crime.

As the officials inform in an official announcement, the investigations are also in full swing on Whit Monday. Both in the case of securing evidence on site and in an autopsy carried out by forensic pathologists, there were indications that point to an intentional homicide, the police further confirmed.

Therefore, the police created their own investigation team. This is intended to clarify the exact circumstances that led to the death of the 73-year-old. Today, Whit Monday, May 29, 2023, investigators were already interviewing several residents.
