Iran has arrested 14 members of an Israeli-linked "terrorist group" that planned to assassinate various officials, a judiciary official said on Monday, quoted by Tasnim News Agency. According to the report, members of the group were arrested in the northwest of the country while "seeking to identify and assassinate a variety of people."
Tehran has periodically announced the thwarting of terror cells allegedly linked to Israel, which it has blamed for the assassinations of senior military personnel and nuclear scientists in recent years. Last week, Iran's intelligence minister announced that a group of "terrorists" linked to Israel had been arrested on the country's western borders.
