Meghan Markle was honored with a Gracie Award for her Spotify podcast Archetypes, but did not go to the award ceremony. Now the reason for their non-appearance became known.
Beverly Hills – Things are going well for Meghan Markles (41). While she was recently awarded an award at the "Women of Vision Awards" in New York for her "lifelong commitment to women and girls", she was to receive a new honor a week later. In Los Angeles, the Duchess of Sussex received an award for her podcast "Archetypes" at the 48th "Gracie Awards" ceremony. However, the one who was conspicuous by his absence was Meghan.
Is the Duchess still in the horror of the crazy chase in Manhattan?
Was the unsightly departure in New York still in the bones of the mother of two? After she and Prince Harry (38), as well as her mother Doria Ragland (66), had left the event in Manhattan, it came to an "almost catastrophic chase", according to their press secretary. Although they received a lot of scorn and ridicule with this statement, Harry and Meghan were "frightened and exhausted" after the "chaotic" drive through the metropolis, reported Chris Sanchez, a member of their security team.
Other reasons for her absence were discussed, the Duchess was simply too unglamorous for her win, namely only listed on page 4 of the list of winners, who wanted to be celebrated as a marginal phenomenon of a glittering award show, in which, by the way, Amanda Seyfried (37) at the top of the list as Televison National Winner for "The Dopout" won the award for Best Actress for Film or National TV Series.
The Gracie Awards
The Gracie Awards are presented by the Alliance of Women in Media Foundation to recognize programs created by women for women. The Duchess was named Best Podcast Host for her series, which aims to "dissect, explore and subvert the labels that hold women back" over the course of 12 episodes. Mariah Carey (54), Paris Hilton (42), Serena Williams (41) and Mindy Kaling (43) were among the guests of the podcast.
Allegedly, Meghan Markle never planned to come
As hellomagazine.com claims to have learned, the real reason for Meghan's absence is now revealed. The Duchess of Sussex simply had other personal commitments that evening, which is why she would never have accepted for the award ceremony, it is said. Despite this, Meghan publicly expressed her gratitude on the website of her creation "Archewell Foundation" and expressed her gratitude.

"Thank you to the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation for this prestigious award. It's a shared success for me and the team behind Archetypes. Most of them are women and the inspiring guests who accompany me every week," Meghan said in her statement. Meghan Markle can be proud of her achievement, which unfortunately cannot always be said about her previous excursions as a blogger for her lifestyle blog "The Tig".
