Sixteen residents of the north were arrested Monday night on suspicion of involvement in violent incidents stemming from a conflict between criminals. The detainees are affiliated with the Bakri criminal gang, which is apparently connected to criminal activity in the north, such as protection collection, extortion and even murder.
This morning, the signal was given, and hundreds of police officers raided several targets, including a penthouse in Nazareth, as well as other hiding places in the city and village of Kaabia. Motorcycles, cars, a large quantity of gold and a large amount of cash exceeding one million shekels were seized.
