The Ministry of Defense, the IDF's arm today and Rafael announced today (Monday) the completion of a series of successful tests of the naval Iron Dome system, known as the "Defensive Dome", on Sa'ar 6 ships.
As part of the test, which was carried out by fighters of the missile boat flotilla, several threat scenarios were examined, including the launch of rockets, cruise missiles and drones. "Defensive Dome" is based on the Iron Dome and is integrated into the national air defense system, which also includes the "Arrow" and "Magic Wand" systems.

Moshe Fattal, head of the Homa Administration at MAFAT, spoke about the experiment: "Using new capabilities, linking the ship's systems to systems on land, and the radar developed specifically for the mission of protecting the economic waters, the system successfully identified the threats and launched the Iron Dome interceptors at them, from the heart of the sea, which destroyed them with perfect accuracy."
