The Great Place to Work ranking reveals in which firms people work most at ease. The top of Argentina and their job searches.

Technology companies constantly open job searches in Argentina to add programmers and engineers, but also lawyers, accountants, economists, designers, marketing professionals and many other areas.

Now, among the thousands of firms that compete today in this area, which ones should those looking for employment target? In which ones is it more worth leaving the curriculum vitae?

Faced with this doubt, it can be helpful to consult the latest edition of the ranking of The best places to work in technology 2023, recently published by the specialized consultancy Great Place to Work (GPTW).

And it is that this research precisely indicates, based on anonymous and confidential surveys, which are the companies in the sector in which today there are more chances of working at ease. Not only with an interesting salary, but also in a good climate.

In this note you can know, one by one, which were the small, medium and large technology companies in the country highlighted this year as "the best places to work", and find the links to leave the CV.

What is Great Place to Work and how does it compile its rankings?

Taken as a reference by the most important companies in the world, and with operations in more than 60 countries, GPTW presents itself as "the global authority on work culture".

There they developed a method to measure the work climate in each organization, quantify the results and make them comparable. Since 1992, they have surveyed more than 100 million employees worldwide.

For this year's assessment, workers from 100 Argentine "techno" companies answered 60 questions about the extent to which their organization "creates a great place to work for everyone." And that was analyzed in light of each company's size, roster composition, and what's typical in the industry.

"85% of the assessment is based on what employees report about their experiences of trust and achieving their full human potential as part of their organization, no matter who they are or what they do," they clarify. The rest, meanwhile, is defined by evaluating issues such as the effectiveness of leaders and openness to new ideas.

What characteristics make a technology company a "great place to work"?

In GPTW they explain that, in addition to paying fair and competitive wages, the best valued companies stand out for:

  • Choose staff well, recruiting people aligned with the culture of the organization and making them feel welcome.

  • Have accessible leaders, who give autonomy to their team members and know how to recognize the effort.

  • Foster innovation by enabling everyone to make decisions, share ideas and take risks.
  • Offer constant training for professional growth.

According to the report, faced with the difficulty of filling positions, companies in the tech sector need to adopt decisive strategies to attract and retain talent, focused on promoting workplace well-being and developing an "employer brand".

"For this, benefit programs are offered ranging from flexible hours and home office, to physical and mental wellness activities in the office. In addition, open communication and transparency in the management of the company are encouraged, "they explain.

They highlight that the firms also "offer training and continuing education opportunities, mentoring and coaching programs and personalized career plans that allow employees to grow and evolve professionally within the company."
