Ami Idan, 49, from Ramat Hasharon, was rushed to the emergency department at Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba after he said he confronted thieves, was stabbed and run over by them. "Just two months ago, they tried to dismantle my mother-in-law's air conditioner," he told Walla! Eli Shimonov, Ami's brother-in-law. "She called me, we confronted them and they ran away. A month ago, they also stole my people's solar panels from their apartment. We filed a complaint with the police, nothing happened with it."

Ami Idan lives in the Morasha neighborhood of Ramat Hasharon, on a street that is currently under the "Pinui-Binui" project. During this period of the project, every evening thieves arrive in vans and dismantle air conditioners, receptors and other parts of the apartments.

According to Shimonov, while Ami was going to get his son from a friend in the evening, a neighbor shouted to him, "Ami, stop the thieves!" He quickly photographed the thieves' vehicle from behind, and when they noticed it, they drove backwards to run it over.

Ami jumped on the box of the van as they drove wildly and tried to shake it while hitting other vehicles on the street. "Get off or we'll stab you," one of the thieves threatened Ami, but Ami shouted back to leave the stolen items. In response, the thieves stabbed him in the ear, head and hand.

Later, the thieves fled the scene and a medical team arrived to evacuate Ami to Meir Medical Center. "I ran away two weeks ago," shared Shimonov, Ami's brother-in-law. "I preferred to pay twice as much rent and fly away with the kids. I couldn't leave my children there."

Meir Medical Center said: "The patient arrived at the hospital suffering from two stab wounds to the head and upper extremities. His condition is mild and he is undergoing a series of tests and is still under investigation."
