The struggle against the illegal quarries is escalating – Palestinians have been arrested, tools confiscated, and the operation has stopped: The Palestinians have been operating illegal quarries for many years, in the framework of which they carry out unprecedented and irreparable destruction of mountains in Judea and Samaria. This is a very disturbing phenomenon that causes severe damage to the soil alongside air pollution.

As part of the struggle against these quarries, members of the Civil Administration, the Ramallah DCO and the Ephraim Brigade carried out an ambush in which Palestinians were caught carrying out illegal quarrying and tools worth hundreds of thousands of shekels were confiscated.

Forces from the Ramallah District Coordination and Liaison Administration, the Civil Administration Inspection Unit, the Ephraim Brigade, and the Nahal Battalion 931 ambushed the criminals from the early morning hours at the Ein Arik quarries and caught them working illegally. Twelve tools were seized and confiscated, including excavators, computers, shovels, stone saws and generators.
