Every year, the Cannes Film Festival receives exceptional media coverage. In 2022, the Canal+ group bequeathed the broadcasting of the ceremonies to France Télévisions. Five years earlier, "Le Grand Journal", a regular at the festival, bowed out. This year the torch was brilliantly taken up by the talk hosted by Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine. On the audience side, is it also a winning bet for "C à vous"?

Between May 17 and 26, "C à vous" was divided into two parts. The first hour remained in the studio, on the usual set of the show. Emilie Tran Nguyen was in charge of the interim, devoting herself to current affairs, political and economic. It is in the second part that viewers are taken to Cannes. Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine and her columnists received filmmakers, actors and actresses who came to present their films.

A peak at one million viewers

The list of guests was prestigious: Pedro Almodovar, Andie MacDowell, Virginie Efira and Benoît Magimel. Pierre Lescure, former patron of the Cannes Film Festival, brought his expertise and his history lessons. Bertrand Chameroy continued to provide the humorous pastille, doing even better than "Le Petit Journal" in his time.

On average, 962,000 viewers were in front of "C à vous à Cannes", or 5.1% of the public. For comparison, "C à vous, la suite", which is dedicated to cultural news the rest of the year, gathered in 2022 over the same period, 940,000 people on average, or 4.4% of PDA. There was a peak audience on Thursday, May 25 with more than a million viewers combined. It should also be noted that this second part full of Cannes glitter exceeded in audience twice, on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 May, the first part of his show. An exception since the creation of the program!
