He died after falling from a scaffolding from which - according to some testimonies collected by the police - a twenty-year-old native of the United States who had been rescued in the night in the Elce area was staying in Perugia.
Arrived on the spot, the agents found the presence of the 118 health personnel intent on providing first aid to the young man then taken to the hospital of the Umbrian capital in serious condition. The operators then heard the witnesses and a friend of his - "in a clear state of alteration due to alcohol abuse" reports the police headquarters - who explained that, after spending the evening with the young man and drinking in different rooms, they had separated and the twenty-year-old had returned to the house where he has been a guest since last May 17.
Soon after, he was contacted by his friend's girlfriend who informed him that he had fallen and injured himself. He then went near the house where - the police still reports - he found his friend in serious condition but still conscious. He also told the agents that the twenty-year-old, not having the keys to the house, used to access the apartment passing through a scaffolding of the building, passing through a kitchen window. During the night, since the window was closed, probably - it still emerges from the note of the police headquarters - he had tried, passing through the roof, to access from another window but, probably losing his balance, he had fallen.
The staff of the mobile team and the scientific team then intervened on the spot for the surveys and investigations. This morning, the young man died in hospital. Investigations are underway to verify possible responsibilities.
