Four members of a family from Rahat will be charged with the kidnapping and attempted murder of their 17-year-old family member, police said Tuesday. Another relative, also from Rahat, will be accused of raping the girl about two weeks before the incident. A prosecutor's statement was filed against all those involved in the May 1 incident, pending indictment and remand pending remand.

The girl was found injured in the area of a fertile stream in the western Negev. A civilian reported the incident to the police, and MDA teams called to the scene evacuated the minor to Soroka Medical Center for medical treatment, with cuts, stab marks on her body and in moderate condition.

Upon receiving the report of the incident, the Rahat station began an investigation and intensive activity while collecting testimonies and collecting evidence and findings at the scene. At the end of the operations, the police managed to tie the involvement of four relatives in their 20s, on suspicion that they abducted the girl from the city of Beersheba and drove to a fertile area, where they tried to murder the minor girl by stabbing her all over her body.

As the investigation developed, suspicions arose that the girl had been raped by a relative in an incident that took place about two weeks before the abduction, following which she left the city of Rahat and moved to the city of Beersheba. Rahat Station investigators located and led to the arrest of the suspect, a resident of the city of Rahat, in his 40s.

The suspects' detention was extended from time to time by the Beer Sheva Magistrate's Court, and upon completion of their police interrogation, which was conducted at the Rahat police station, and the formulation of an evidentiary basis for the case against them, the Southern District Attorney's Office submitted a prosecutor's statement and their detention was extended by the Beer Sheva Magistrate's Court. On Thursday, the Southern District Prosecutor's Office will file an indictment against the suspects, in accordance with the evidentiary basis, and a request to continue their detention until the end of the proceedings.
