Munich / Augsburg – Nationwide, apartments of members of the "Last Generation" were searched. This is based on the investigation initiated for the "accusation of forming or supporting a criminal organization".

BLKA searches apartments of the last generation in Bavaria

In the joint press release of the Munich Public Prosecutor's Office and the Bavarian State Office of Criminal Investigation, it is stated that "nationwide searches and measures to secure assets" have been carried out at the last generation. It is the result of an investigation initiated by the Munich Public Prosecutor's Office and the Bavarian Central Office for Combating Extremism and Terrorism (ZET) on "suspicion of committing criminal offences by members of the so-called 'Last Generation'".

The proceedings are therefore underway against seven defendants aged 22 to 38 and go back to "numerous criminal complaints from the population" since mid-2022, the BLKA said in the press release. The accused are accused of having organized a "fundraising campaign to finance further crimes for the 'Last Generation', advertising it via its homepage and thus collecting an amount of at least 1.4 million euros in donations so far". These funds were "predominantly" used to finance further crimes.
