President Alberto Fernández met on Tuesday afternoon with his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolás Maduro, within the framework of the South American Summit organized by Lula da Silva in Brasilia.
Along with Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero and Ambassador to Brazil Daniel Scioli, the president asked Maduro that Venezuela return to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, which is under the orbit of the OAS.
The meeting between the two leaders took place at the Itamaraty Palace after noon, after Fernandez's speech to his peers.
The meeting, anticipated by Clarín on Monday, is the first held by both presidents.
