Deep relaxation with nuances: The yoga wave at the Freisinger Moosach - and a complaint

Highlights: The "Moosach-Flows" yoga meeting between Q-Bar and Bücher Pustet was held on Saturday. The inner city revitalization was set up by the Active City, in cooperation with the YogaFlows Studio Freising. Around 20 interested people followed the yoga flow from 15 p.m. and were visibly relaxed. Police came to the scene in the form of two officers. The reason for their presence: There was probably a complaint from residents. Because relaxation music was playing off the tape during the yoga class, they also listened very carefully and quickly gave the all-clear.

Freising – Actually, everything was completely wonderful and extremely peaceful: Around 20 interested people followed the yoga flow from 15 p.m. and were visibly relaxed. No wonder, because the weather was great and so was the atmosphere. Good vibes were provided by yoga teacher Petra Zuckerschwert, who demonstrated all kinds of positions on a small stage - including the "Vinyasa Moosach Flow".

"Good event"

The inner city revitalization was set up by the Active City, in cooperation with the YogaFlows Studio Freising. By the way, Max Kirchmaier from the Active City is also a yoga fan, and has been since he was 18 years old. This event is good "to bring yoga into people's consciousness - and to play in the urban space, as recently with the duck race in the Moosach," says Kirchmaier. Smiling, he added: "They don't stick, they're just yoga activists!"

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

A visit

Then, however, things got a bit curious at the halfway point of the yoga class, because while Sugar Sword asked you to exhale, the police came to the scene in the form of two officers. The reason for their presence: There was probably a complaint from residents. Because relaxation music was playing off the tape during the yoga class, they also listened very carefully and quickly gave the all-clear. The real complaint apparently referred to the world music ensemble that had played at the height of Pustet before the start of the open-air yoga exercises – and had long since left.

Admittedly, the topic is a heated one, precisely because the Q-Bar, for example, had to send the musicians home much earlier than all other pubs during the Long Night of Music – because of a complaint from a local resident, which was probably expressed very frequently. While Q-Bar boss Johannes Wunner only shook his head on Saturday afternoon, Kirchmaier found clear words: "I am in favour of a lively and colourful city centre. And also for an urban and vibrant! That's where life belongs."

When the yogis rolled up their mats, Kirchmaier also had one more thing important: "I prefer music to engine noise anyway!"
