The motive for his gesture seems unclear. In Cenon (Gironde), Saturday, a 49-year-old man tried to set fire to his apartment. The mind confused according to our sources, this man "played with alcohol and paper" that he placed in the oven of his kitchen to light a fire. The latter, spotted and extinguished by his roommate, did not have time to spread in the building or cause injuries. Once the threat was channeled, however, the roommate alerted the national police of Bordeaux.
Dispatched to the scene, the police arrested the author of this start of fire. He was taken into custody for "degradation" and "endangering the lives of others".
During his hearings, he referred to a notice of eviction from the premises which he did not accept and which may have prompted him to do so. Very confused, this man was transferred to the hospital "to rest" at the end of his police custody.
