Holzkirchen – On Friday, there was an accident in Holzkirchen: A 12-year-old boy was hit by a car on his way to school. He was slightly injured.
On Friday (26 May), a 54-year-old from Holzkirchen was driving his car at around 7.45 a.m. He wanted to turn from Föchinger Straße onto Rosenheimer Straße.
According to the police, at the same time, a 12-year-old student suddenly crossed Rosenheimer Straße with his scooter coming from the pedestrian and cycle path. "He had headphones in his ears and overlooked the turning car," the report says. The boy was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
According to the police, the driver tried to brake, but did not manage to do so in time and touched the boy. He landed on the hood of the car and fell to the ground. The man immediately rushed to the student's aid.
"Fortunately, the boy was only slightly injured in the collision. His abrasions were treated by the emergency services on site," explains the police.
The car suffered property damage amounting to about 2000 euros in the front area. According to the police, an investigation was initiated against the motorist for negligent bodily injury in a traffic accident.
