A man has not been allowed on the plane at Hannover-Langenhagen Airport. The reason: He was just too drunk. His wife flew without him.
Hanover – Employees at Hanover-Langenhagen Airport in Lower Saxony probably don't experience this every day either: On the night of Friday, May 26, 2023, at around 3 a.m., a man could not be allowed to get through the control to his plane. The cause: He had "significant alcohol-related symptoms", reports the Federal Police.

The man staggered to the control and had to hold on to a table, the officials continued. A control of his person was not possible without the help of his wife. And in the course of the check, the check did not become easier: The man swayed so much that he had to hold on to the security scanner several times.

Apparently, the inspectors got there, a patrol of the Federal Police was informed, which took care of the holidaymaker couple. Even the pilot of the flight to Varna in Bulgaria had knowledge of his passenger at the time, who was just able to stand on his feet with a lot of difficulty.
Too drunk: Plane takes off without a passenger – his wife flies on vacation without him
"As a result, the pilot of the European Air Charter decided that the guest was too drunk and therefore unfit to fly," the Federal Police continued. Thus, the man had to cancel his vacation even before the start of his flight. His wife was so angry about this that she decided for herself in favor of the vacation and against her husband. She flew to Bulgaria alone and left her husband behind.
It is currently not known whether the husband will take a later flight the next day sober to his wife. A breathalyzer test was dispensed with by the police. He had not committed any crimes and had not been aggressive. After sleeping off his intoxication, he was allowed to leave the airport for home. Meanwhile, the passengers on board Asiana Airlines were very lucky. A man had unlocked the door of a passenger plane while the pilots were about to land.
