The people of Hohenpeißenberg sorely miss the ice cream parlour in the Schächen. The community is looking for a partner. In order to bridge the time, an ice cream vending machine has now been set up. And its operators are no strangers to the region.
Hohenpeißenberg – Now that the Pschorr family from Fuchstal has found a tenant for the butcher's shop in Schächen in Hohenpeißenberg, the municipality is now looking for a new operator for the popular ice cream parlour in the complex.
"Actually, we already had a partner for the operation of the ice cream parlour," says Hohenpeißenberg Mayor Thomas Dorsch. But he cancelled at short notice. In times of staff shortages, the challenge seemed too great. Thus, the search for a new partner to run the ice cream parlor in the Schächen continues. There are already interested parties, according to Dorsch. But until everything is fixed, there are still a few things to be clarified and organized, so that it is already clear that there will be nothing more with the ice cream parlor in Hohenpeißenberg this summer.

Nevertheless, the people of Hohenpeißenberg do not have to do without ice cream from the region this summer: an ice cream vending machine was recently set up. The ice cream makers are no strangers to the region: Giulio and Nina De Filippo, who ran the "Pinocchio ice cream parlour" in Peiting for almost ten years, have now found another way to sell their self-made ice cream with the vending machines.

"Giulio's Gelato" is available around the clock
Since the beginning of March, Giulio De Filippo has been producing his ice cream under the label "Giulio's Gelato" in the industrial park in Peiting. This logo is now also emblazoned on the ice cream vending machine, which stands at the bowl. The municipality had initially hoped that the sale of ice cream by vending machine was only a foretaste and that the De Filippo couple would take over the ice cream parlour in the Schächen next year, but this hope has since been dashed, reports Mayor Dorsch: "Unfortunately, De Filippos have cancelled. They want to stick with the vending machines."

The declared goal of the municipality is still to find a new partner for the ice cream parlor. Business with the Italian specialty has gone well in Hohenpeißenberg, says Dorsch: "The Rigi ice cream has been buzzing." The people of Hohenpeißenberg sorely miss their ice cream parlour. Best conditions for new tenants
This would find the best conditions: The equipment has already been purchased by the municipality, so that no further investments are necessary for the start of an ice cream parlour.
