Le Grain d'Orge, the Bistrot du Boucher, then the Garrett Meals. The premises of this restaurant on rue Vivenel, in downtown Compiègne, have had several lives. The last one, an American steak house, opened in April 2016. Placed in liquidation in March by the commercial court, the business has since drawn the curtain and its owner is helped by a commissioner of justice to sell all the equipment and all the decoration of the place, inspired by the 50s and 60s.
A judicial sale organized on site this Wednesday, May 31, at 11:30 am. It is open to all. "This should attract vintage enthusiasts," hopes Caroline Brunel-Dejean de la Bâtie, auctioneer in charge of the sale. The owner had a sure taste when it came to decoration. He loved to hunt, to find unique pieces. »

To discover the 160 lots, bidders must arrive on site 30 minutes before the sale. And there's plenty to do: a motorcycle with sidecar, a Gulf gas pump, a slot machine, a children's motorcycle and dozens of other items, all sold as a decorative item. "They are not in working order," smiles the manager. Do not expect to leave riding a motorcycle! »

"We are here to support the debtor," continues Caroline Brunel-Dejean de la Bâtie. It's sad for him and we're here to support him, help him sell quickly and at the best price. That way, he can turn the page and start another professional adventure. »
