Jens Bernitzky leaves the Thermen-Hotel Victory in Erding and becomes head of the Posthotel Achenkirch.
Erding – Mountain lake instead of South Seas: After five years, Jens Bernitzky leaves the bridge of the Thermen-Hotel Victory and sails on towards Lake Achensee. There, the 54-year-old will take over the management of the renowned five-star resort Posthotel Achenkirch. This is considered one of the lighthouse hostels in Tyrol and looks back on more than 100 years of history.
"It is a great honour and pleasure for me to be able to manage such a well-known and popular business as the Posthotel Achenkirch in the future," explains the Hamburg native, who can also use his experience from Erding at the new location.
The Posthotel, built by the Reiter family, was one of the first wellness hotels of today's type. In addition to a wellness area of around 7000 square meters, it offers its own golf course, part of the largest Lipizzaner stud farm in Europe, two decorated restaurants as well as its own Shaolin monks and doctors for traditional Chinese medicine. In addition, the in-house farm and the historic Zöhreralm are part of the farm.
In Erding, Bernitzky's departure is regretted, especially by the owner family Wund. The hotelier with heart and soul had succeeded in leading the Victory to the highest level and an outstanding occupancy rate. This also applies to the Empire restaurant, which enjoys a reputation far beyond Erding.
Bernitzky has been at home in the upscale hotel industry for more than three decades. After his apprenticeship as a chef, he worked as a chef de partie on international luxury cruise ships. After that, the 54-year-old was active in several hotels, founded his own tourism consulting company and a golf marketing cooperation. He came to Erding in 2018.
