Miesbach – Actually, a 31-year-old wanted to file a complaint with the police in Miesbach for bodily injury. However, he drove drunk with the e-scooter to the inspection.
On Monday night (29 May), a 31-year-old man from Miesbach filed a complaint with the Miesbach police station after previous bodily injury.
"When filing the complaint, in addition to the superficial injuries, a strong smell of alcohol could be perceived," explains the police. However, the man had stated that he had driven his e-scooter to the police with a maximum speed of 20 km/h. "A breath alcohol test showed a value above 1.1 per thousand alcohol," the report says.
After the report was filed, a blood sample was taken from the man. The officers initiated criminal proceedings for drunk driving, as the e-scooter is a vehicle subject to registration.
"Curiously, this was already the second similar case of his in less than half a year. As early as December, he reported a bodily injury against the same opponent and appeared with his car, also drunk, at the Miesbach police," she explains. The chances of regaining his driver's license are poor, according to the Miesbach police inspectorate.
