Dießen – With a clear 6-0 home win against SG Oberau / Farchant, the first team of MTV Diessen concluded the regular season convincingly last Saturday
"We were clearly the better team and deserved to win," said MTV player-coach Philipp Ropers after the game.
MTV was superior throughout the game, created numerous scoring chances and was always dangerous, especially in set pieces. The first goal was scored after just under ten minutes when a visiting defender deflected a header from Sebastian Kropp into his own goal. In the 20th minute, Levin Braun remained ice-cold in front of the goalkeeper after winning the ball and passing it from Ahmad Assad and slotted in to make it 2-0. Shortly before the break, captain Ludwig Schranner increased the score to 4-0 at half-time with a double strike by head and foul penalty after a corner and foul on Sebastian Kropp.
In the second half, the team from Ammersee let the ball and opponents continue to run and scored two more goals after just over an hour. First Sascha König scored, then Yannik Friedrich put the finishing touches to the test after a strong preparation by Moritz Fichtl. In the remaining part of the game, the team left a few opportunities unused, but also nothing more, so that it remained with a 6-0 home victory.
"We were the best team in the promotion round and want to get promoted via the relegation," said Ropers, already focusing on the two games that follow: The first leg will take place today, Wednesday, at 18:30 in Otterfing, the second leg on Saturday at 15:00 at the Ammersee Stadium. In two relegation games against Otterfing, MTV can make the direct march through to the district league perfect. A duel between Dießen and Otterfing has not yet taken place, at least in the recent past. The seasons of both teams could not have been more different. As a promoted team from the A-Class, MTV reached the promotion round of the district class and there with an eight-point lead in the promotion relegation place. TSV ended up as relegated from the Bezirksliga in the relegation round of the Kreisliga and here on the relegation relegation place.
Second Team
The second team of the MTV ended the season with a 2:4 home defeat against SG Oberau/Farchant. Nevertheless, the team has played a good season with promotion to and relegation in the B-Class.
