About a week and a half ago, Petah Tikva station investigators opened an investigation into a man who was hit by a vehicle in the city. During the investigation, signs emerged that the ramming was deliberate, after stab marks were found on the victim's abdomen. After investigative activities, a 40-year-old resident of the city was arrested on suspicion of the act.

The investigation revealed that the defendant thought the victim had cast a spell on his daughter. The defendant bought a knife from a store in the city, obtained the victim's address from his brother under a false explanation, and finally arrived at the victim's house, posing as a courier.

Finally, the defendant identified the victim riding his electric bicycle. The defendant followed him, hit him hard with his car, and later stabbed him. The police arrested the man and his detention was extended in accordance with the needs of the investigation. Earlier today, he was indicted in the Lod District Court for causing serious injury under aggravated circumstances.
