Ukraine's counteroffensive is already underway. A secret report now reveals that Russia is relying on defense instead of attack in return.
Kyiv – Ukraine's counteroffensive has been announced for weeks, but until now it has not been clear exactly when it will start. According to Mykhailo Podolyak, a close confidant of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, it is now in full swing. He said this in an interview with the TV channel TG1 from Italy: "The counteroffensive has been going on for days. It is an intense war along 1800 kilometers of border."
Russia, in turn, is preparing for the attacks of the Ukrainian armed forces. According to a NATO secret report obtained by the American news portal Business Insider, Vladimir Putin's troops are focusing more on defense than on their own offensive. The report of the NATO Military Committee states, among other things, that there are "no significant changes in the course of the front" of the Ukraine war.
Russia expects Ukrainian counteroffensive: defensive lines will be strengthened
Although there are "minor Russian offensive actions in eastern Ukraine", such as the Donbass, there are no other significant events. Rather, the Russians would be building and strengthening their defensive lines. "In particular, in the south of Ukraine and along the land bridge to the Crimean peninsula," the secret report says. On the other hand, the government in Kiev is currently putting everything into the counteroffensive.

Not only modern battle tanks from the West are used, but also the American Patriot system for air defense. In addition, according to Podolyak, Ukraine wants to rely on the F-16 fighter jets, which are also supplied by America. President Joe Biden had promised this.
