Javier Milei, pre-candidate for president for La Libertad Avanza, wants Guillermo Britos as candidate for governor of the province of Buenos Aires. As reported by Clarín, the current mayor of Chivilcoy and former ally of Economy Minister Sergio Massa is considering joining the libertarian space.

"For now it is an offer, nothing has been defined. But the truth is an honor that they think of me. It's always nice to be taken into account. I have to define it," he told Noticias Mercedenias.

With this phrase, the communal chief ratified the offer of the current national deputy to head the Buenos Aires list of the libertarian leader.

From Milei's environment, they stressed to this medium that the presidential candidate likes "his profile as a neighbor mayor" and that he was also "never close to Kirchnerism or Together for Change."

So far, the economist and deputy gave some names: Victoria Villaruel as his vice in the presidential formula; the economist Diana Mondino candidate to head the list of deputies of the Freedom Advances. And the musician David Adrian Martinez, El Dipy, as his candidate for mayor of La Matanza.

Days ago, Britos led an event in Chivilcoy for May 25, criticized the current situation of the Argentine economy and also made a reference to the elections.

"Those of us who have positions with responsibility, what we have to do is apologize because our country has everything to be a power, but it has alarming figures of poverty, unemployment and inflation," he said at an event organized at the Gymnastics Club of that town.

In addition, during the electoral campaign that will take place during the next few days, all those who have aspirations must approach the voters and "tell them the truth, because people no longer want to hear about colored mirrors or ostentatious works that never materialize."

Britos had his time in the Renewal Front of Massa and was part of the group of Buenos Aires mayors close to the current minister, who is traveling in China.

He even composed UNA (United for a New Alternative) between 2015 and 2017 and from that year until 2019 he integrated 1Pais, both political forces that responded to the current national official.

After his time as deputy of the province of Buenos Aires between 2011 and 2015, Britos was elected mayor that year and was very close to Massa when the Tigrean occupied the presidency of the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation, a position to which he acceded after joining in 2019 the Frente de Todos formed by Cristina Kirchner and Alberto Fernández.
