Three years ago, the founders of the start-up "Greenmnky" landed a deal on "Die Höhle der Löwen". That's how successful the company is today.
Cologne - The start-up "Greenmnky" has written a real success story since its participation in the VOX start-up show "Die Höhle der Löwen" in 2020. The company was able to increase its turnover from 200,000 euros to a whopping 50 million euros, according to a post on the official "DHDL" account.
Nils Glagau and Carsten Maschmeyer thrilled
The manufacturer of protective films for smartphones and other devices convinced the lions Nils Glagau (47) and Carsten Maschmeyer (64) with its product at the time and received a total of 400,000 euros from the two for 24 percent of the shares.
"Greenmnky" managing director Ziya Orhan praised the subsequent cooperation in a video on the YouTube channel "VentureLab": "They gave us a lot of ideas, but did not interfere," he explained. But: "Whenever we needed them, they were there."
At first, the founders didn't even want to take part in the show. They did not yet consider themselves ready. They rejected two requests from the station, and only the third time they agreed, as Orhan revealed. The prospect of 20 minutes of advertising for her product and a sudden increase in her popularity ultimately convinced her.
