Tel Aviv Magistrate and Youth Court riot: The family of his late boy Aflalo strongly attacked the family of one of the suspects involved in the murder, and a loud argument ensued in the hallway. The four suspects, aged 16-19, were brought to court on suspicion of involvement in the murder of Shalev Aflalo, who was run over to death last Rosh Hashanah on Menachem Arber Street in Tel Aviv. The transformation of the investigation from an accident into a murder was first reported in Israel Hayom.
Yesterday, the detention of one of the suspects, Bar Shammai, was extended, and since it was reported that some of them claim that it was not intentional and the suspicion arose that he was a collaborator, graffiti was sprayed near his home in south Tel Aviv.

After the accident, the offending driver, Chen Ziv, was arrested after driving without a license, but was released about a week later, but about five months ago there was a suspicion that Aflalo's death was the result of deliberate murder. The police opened an investigation and allegedly managed to obtain evidence during those months that the vehicular attack was deliberate, due to a dispute between the parties.
Shalev's family said that from the beginning they claimed it was murder and that all the suspects were his friends. According to them, it all began with an argument with Shalev's sister, and although they said after the accident that Shalev was playing on the road, they knew that his friends pushed him towards the vehicle, which came quickly and hit him.

The victim's sister, Eden, said it was the same guy who beat their twin sister. "They started playing hands and Shalev told him, 'Don't mess with me with your hands'... That evening, when he went downstairs and after talking to the guy, a car arrived with Chen Ziv, Bar Shamai and 2 other girls. That guy, A., saw the driver driving at high speed. He pushed Shalev hard against the vehicle, the driver didn't stop until a few meters later, and Shalev lay sprawled on the floor."

Eden added: "Only after a while were we able to understand from him what exactly happened as I imagined – Shalev was pushed into the road, the car passed and ran him over and so it was exactly as I imagined from the first moment. Shalev would love to repair motorcycles, he would help people, an avid Maccabi fan. My brother was murdered. And today the police say it. We would come to the station every day. My brother's soul turned upside down in heaven until the truth began to come out."
As stated yesterday, Bar Shammai's detention was extended by four days, to which the police attribute to him suspicions of intentional murder, conspiracy to commit a crime and obstruction of justice. Apart from him, four youths and young men aged 16 to 19 were arrested yesterday, and today they will be brought to be remanded in custody at noon.
