District – Anyone who has been in the ZDF media library lately might have come across the quiz show "1, 2 or 3". The TV show invites children to guess – each episode is about a different topic. Most recently, three teams from Austria, France and Germany had to answer questions about "Spectacular Swarms". In the German team were Lennard (Lenny), Luca and Paula from the primary school Fuchstal-Leeder.

Our teacher applied on the off chance," Luca explains after the shoot, "and with a lot of luck we made it." The class teacher of the fourth grade of the GS-Fuchstal had been thinking about registering her students for a long time, as Paula explains. This was also the case at the beginning of this school year – and indeed the class was accepted and the three students were selected by the teacher, with whom she then went to the show. "It was cool that the three of us were then selected," says Luca happily. "There were others to choose from, but she just thought of us," Lenny adds.

For the shoot, the entire fourth grade went with some parents to the Bavaria Film Studios in Grünwald. Particularly exciting for the students: the surrounding studios on the film site: "The studio of '1,2 or 3' was next to the studio of 'Do they understand fun?'," says Luca, "It was crazy that they are all in one heap."

But the children couldn't really prepare for the big day. "We couldn't practice at all because we didn't know the subject," explains Lenny. "We weren't told until we got there," Luca interjects. When they arrived at the site, the students were explained the process of the shoot. Where do they have to stand, where are the cameras, what do they have to do at all? A lot to remember for the fourth graders. Shortly before the shoot, the students even went into make-up. "I didn't really want them to powder me and they styled my hair," Luca was not entirely enthusiastic. "We had microphones that could be plugged in," Lenny continues. "And they were checked more often. " It made you feel a bit like a star," Luca adds.

The shoot itself went smoothly. Nevertheless, the three of them had a bit of a "whisper". "Well, I was very nervous," Paula admits, and Lenny had a similar experience. Luca was a bit more relaxed: "Sometimes I go to a football game like that, then I'm on TV anyway and that's why I don't think it's so bad," he explains, "But of course it was something different than walking through the picture for five seconds, that was already 30 minutes."

"The questions were about spectacular swarms," explains Paula. For this purpose, the children were asked questions with three possible answers, which they could then submit by jumping to the right platform. The students didn't win, but they would take part again immediately.
