Evasive manoeuvre prevents head-on collision
The oncoming 46-year-old from Fritzens in Tyrol was able to swerve with his Subaru in time and thus prevent a head-on collision, but a collision still occurred. According to the police, the VW was no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away.
Got into the oncoming lane for an unknown reason
The second accident occurred a good hour later: According to police, a 72-year-old woman from Wackersberg drove her Daihatsu on the B18 coming from Bad Tölz in the direction of Lenggries at around 25:13 p.m. At the level of the left-turn lane to the Isar bridge, the Wackersberg woman got into the oncoming lane for reasons that have not yet been clarified, ran over a traffic post and finally came to a stop on the road. The oncoming 38-year-old Lenggrieser managed to avoid the collision by emergency braking and an evasive maneuver.
Police do not rule out neurological cause
Since the woman made a confused impression and was not oriented, according to the police, a neurological cause cannot be ruled out as the reason for the accident. For further clarification, she was taken to the Tölzer Hospital. Property damage: around 1050 euros.
