The businessman and ultra K journalist Roberto Navarro was benefited by the National Communications Agency (ENaCom) and will be able to broadcast his audiovisual platform El Destape Sin Fin as if it were a cable TV news channel.
As Navarro announced, "on June 7 El Destape is coming on TV." And a journalist from his program added: "El Destape has become a news channel."
The ultra K journalist said it on his return to Argentina after his trip to Spain, where he went to see the municipal elections in which the Popular Party prevailed over the ruling socialism of Pedro Sánchez.
"The ENaCom met and unanimously decided that there will be two new television channels: one is from Perfil and another is from El Destape," Navarro announced from FM El Destape 107.3.
And he added: "What the Decree says is that all cable companies havethe obligation to immediately upload the Unfinished News signals. I have two agreements closed and we will be sitting down with each one, to close instrumental issues."
The decision of a narrow majority
In reality, Resolution No. 774/23 of the ENaCom was not approved by "unanimity" as Navarro said, since President Claudio Ambrosini was absent last week, when that regulation was approved, and the two directors for the opposition abstained, so he left with the vote of a narrow majority of four Kirchnerist directors -out of the seven that make up the ENaCom Board-.
Something similar happened with another ENaCom Resolution, which was approved that same day and also gave that status to the new economic news channel of Editorial Perfil, Canal E, which will be on the air this Thursday.
To these two news channels will be added this month the Channel 4 Extra, of the Chavista lawyer Franco Bindi, which had its test transmission with Víctor Hugo Morales in the act of Cristina Kirchner in Plaza de Mayo, which was also registered by the ENaCom as a news chain, so that cable operators add to their grid in the same block where TN are, La Nación+, Canal 26, A24, Crónica TV and IP (Journalistic Information).
With the incorporation of Canal 4 Extra and El Destape Sin Fin, Kirchnerism seeks to add new K channels to the grid of news networks.
"We're going to do a lot more. We came here to be leaders and so that the right does not burden the rights of workers, retirees, feminism, diversity, the environment and all the rights they want to load. We will be among them and those who must be defended. And now we have more irons to do it and we are very excited. They will not pass! The right will not pass and the rights will not be charged. There is no determined destination. The country is going to be what we are willing to fight to get done. So now we have something else to do it," Navarro said.
The half decade won by Navarro
Silvana Giudici, director for the parliamentary opposition of ENaCom, assured Clarín that "Alberto Fernández's management benefited Destape in a decisive way. Through the official guideline Navarro was able to access an AM license. Now they grant it the status of news signal, when it only broadcasts in streaming the programming of the radio. It's clearly an election measure."
It is that Navarro's FM is retransmitted on the AM El Destape Mundo and 53 stations throughout the country, in addition to being transmitted simultaneously by its audiovisual platform El Destape Sin Fin and that will also begin to be broadcast from June 7 by cable TV channels, as if it were a news channel.
"All this begins when they kick us off the TV and we said 'let's do a test', we asked the University of General Sarmiento for a study, which we broadcast on YouTube," Navarro said Tuesday, on his radio program in El Destape.
And he referred to his growth in the last five years, since he was kicked out of the Indalo Group, of the Kirchnerist businessmen Cristóbal López and Fabián de Sousa, where he hosted the Sunday TV program Economía Política and the daily program "El Destape" on the second morning of Radio 10: "This when he threw us out ... what a gilada, No?, because at least one there was half controlled. Instead now we have the portal, the FM, the AM and a news signal," Navarro said.
The "little help" of the official guideline
The ultra K journalist managed to get the Government to subsidize him with official advertising, to set up a multimedia that received $ 437 million from the national government last year.
Its digital portal El Destape was the fourth news site that received the most advertising in 2022, ranking behind Infobae, Clarín and La Nación. While its radio ranked seventh among the FM that received the most official advertising last year.
The El Destape Group ranked second in the reception of official guidelines fromthe Buenos Aires government of Axel Kicillof, with another $ 518 million between February 2020 and August 2022, according to journalist José Crettaz in the newspaper La Nación.
With those benefits, Navarro's media group continues to expand. Last November it launched its audiovisual platform "El Destape sin Fin", with a new studio that has eight producers, five community managers and twenty TV cameras, to disseminate all the information of the live transmissions of El Destape Radio on Youtube and all social networks, which will soon also be seen on cable TV as if it were a news channel.
In addition, at the end of last year Navarro launched the AM El Destape Mundo, which is actually his FM El Destape retransmitted on the frequency that was Radio El Mundo and that ENaCom reassigned it at the beginning of 2022 to a society formed by the ultra K journalist with his two children María Florencia and Nicolás Ariel.
