While the government is working on "social leasing" for low-income households, BNP Paribas is launching a specific offer for single-parent families. The bank, associated with the car dealership 1807, offers them a special lease with option to purchase (LOA), "adapted to their budget". Concretely, a single father or mother, with children, can rent a car from 150 euros per month for a maximum period of ten years.
"As an indication, on the market today, a family pays a LOA between 300 and 400 euros over thirty-six or forty-eight months," says Christophe Michaeli, Director of the automotive market at BNP Paribas Personal Finance. We have built a tailor-made offer, because we know that single-parent families are the most sensitive to the inflationary context we are experiencing. »

Whether the customer is banked at BNP Paribas or not, he is not obliged to provide a contribution at the beginning of the rental. The only constraint is that he cannot stop his contract when he wants but must keep it "for a certain period, at least seven years for a ten-year lease, so that everyone can find their way around," says the director of the automotive market.
Electric, hybrid or bioethanol
As for the vehicle to which he is entitled, 1807 arrows the offer on used cars of Crit'Air 1 or 0. "Electric, hybrid or bioethanol, with a seniority of less than thirty-six months, says Christophe Cyrille, boss of the dealership. Our desire is to enable these households to prepare for the arrival of Low Emission Zones (LEZs). Often, their car is very old and they cannot afford to change it. »
A single-parent family, without contribution, can hope to obtain an Opel Corsa petrol equipped with a bioethanol box with only 30,000 km for 165 euros per month, for ten years, a total of 19,800 euros over this period. Note that the maintenance of the car is free throughout the rental contract and that the parts are guaranteed. "This makes it possible to be sure that it will remain in good condition," says Christophe Michaeli. And to protect themselves from possible accidents of life or unforeseen events, which would prevent an overhaul or repair. »

Under the terms of the lease, the household will also have the option to buy back the vehicle for a value of 1% of its original price. "In the example of the Opel Corsa, which is now worth 15,000 euros, the family will be able to buy it for 150 euros," says Christophe Cyrille. While it will be listed, after ten years, around 3,000 euros. »
