The next scene looks like it's from a horror movie, but it's completely real. Two men, roommates in Brickell, Miami, were left horrified after hearing noises coming from the bathroom. They opened the door and found a finger of a living person emerging from the wall.

So yes, there are a variety of stories of people who found hidden spaces in their apartment, but in this case, the two thought that someone had been buried behind their bathroom wall and came to life. Anthony Valdez, one of the partners, told NBC Miami: "We heard a noise coming from the bathroom. Johnny, my roommate, thought I was working on him so he started laughing and filming what was happening. He thought it was a hoax."

A video shared on TikTok shows the two walking in horror into the bathroom when one of them opens the door and notices a living person's finger sticking out of the wall. The guy claimed that he had been kidnapped and that he needed their help. In the video, he can be heard saying "please help me" and "let me go." You can also clearly see the hole in the wall, just above the towel rack.

If that wasn't disturbing enough, the two also noticed strange happenings outside their building. They filmed a man on a motorcycle leaving the building, re-entering and exiting accompanied by a woman with a wig. At that point, the two decided it was time to call the police.

Miami police arrived at the apartment building and initially treated the situation as a potential case of kidnapping. However, after further investigation, officers discovered that the "kidnapped" man was a neighbor from the apartment next door and was under the influence of drugs.

When officers entered the apartment, they found eight people who had apparently consumed drugs. Miami Police Public Information Officer Mike Vega said: "There was a towel wrapped around the handle to keep the door closed. The suspect admitted to creating a false story after taking a cocktail of drugs that led to hallucinations."

After interviewing other tenants in the building, the officers discovered that the occupants were staying in "illegal vacation rentals."

His roommate Johnny has since received threats and is nervous about continuing to live in the apartment. The holes in the wall have since been patched and police told NBC6 that although the suspect committed a crime of breaking through the walls of the apartment, it is not yet clear if charges will be filed against him but the investigation is ongoing.
