Munich's city centre is always on the move. Shops close, others open. Just like now in Sendlinger Straße.
Munich - Munich's city centre is rarely at a standstill. There is always a construction site, renovation or other structural measures somewhere. At present, however, the density of projects is likely to be higher than ever: The complete renovation of the main train station, the new hotel building on the Stachus or the major construction site at the Sendlinger Tor underground station do not necessarily turn many parts of the city into oases of peace.
Nevertheless, many people are drawn to the city, and a recent survey even showed that the vast majority rate a visit between Odeonsplatz and Stachus positively. For all those who are planning a stroll trip to Munich, a new address has now been added, which should be particularly interesting for children.
Munich City: New shop opened – "The first in all of Bavaria"
At the end of May, the first "Haribo" shop in Bavaria will open in Sendlinger Straße. The well-known gummy bear brand is trying to gain a foothold in the city and wants to attract Munich's clientele with "vegetarian and vegan" products, among other things. Whether this will work remains to be seen. Recently, different traditional houses had been "caught", for different reasons they were forced to close. Among them, for example, "Jeans Kaltenbach", where the doors close forever after 70 years.
New store in a prime Munich location - the first in Bavaria
But "Haribo" is not alone with its reopening, new shopping areas are also being created in Kaufingerstraße: The clothing retailer Uniqlo is moving to the city, but the listed old building is still being renovated.

So it remains to be seen whether the new "Haribo" store will actually manage to become an institution in Munich's city center, or whether the candy shop will join the ranks of the names that will have to close their doors again.
